CHAMPIONING QUALITY

Shan Mountains coffee offers a delightful and invigorating sensory journey, with each sip akin to an exploration of the mountains. Creation Myanmar’s production processes take time, skill and passion.

Starting with the handpicking of cherries, our coffee undergoes a journey that imparts its unique character. We expertly roast the beans to reveal their hidden intricacies, resulting in a captivating fusion of flavours.

CUPPING SCORE

82.5

Our coffee-washing stations at the farm operate with three tank units, contributing to the exceptional quality of our coffee, which boasts a cupping score of 82.5. This score is marked by subtle notes of cocoa powder, chocolate, nut, almond, grains, cereal, malt, grapefruit, and citrus fruits. The coffee beans range in size from 5.5mm to 6.5mm and are classified as Grade 1 and Grade 2.

We employ primary processing methods such as fully washed and sun-drying, executed with precision during pulping and mucilage removal. For hulling, sorting, and grading, we have formed a partnership with the MCG (Myanmar Coffee Group) factory. Within our farm premises, we have allocated approximately 18.5 square metres of space for the careful cleaning, drying, sorting, and washing of green coffee beans.

Parchment coffee is stored in the garage, double-bagged with clear plastic and rice paper layers. When it comes to coffee exports, we utilise GrainPro bags enclosed within jute bags. Our storage facility, spanning a width of 30 metres, sits at the heart of our farm and undergoes meticulous maintenance to preserve a pristine environment. We closely monitor the moisture content of coffee parchments, maintaining humidity levels below 12 degrees to preserve their quality.

For a sustainable future, and to ensure good stock, we take pride in nurturing new coffee plants from our own seed. Our nursery is a dedicated space of 15 acres and is located on Creation Myanmar Coffee farm.

Cultivation each year depends on the requirements of the plantation. In the last 12 months we grew 20,400 coffee nursery plants and 1,700 shade trees (including silver oak and macadamia) as well as dadap trees which are planted for the nitrogen-fixing bacteria on their roots.
